The Weight of Light: Thomas Henriot

The Weight of Light, at Art Centrix Space, presents a solo exhibition by French artist Thomas Henriot, bringing together large scale drawings and sketches created through direct engagement with place. Executed in Chinese ink on Japanese paper, the works emerge from a single, continuous gesture, responding to architecture and landscape through proximity and movement.

Developed during residencies across India, the works reflect sites such as Benaras, Jodhpur and Kolkata, translating lived experience into visual form. Blurring observation and memory, Henriot’s practice treats drawing as both process and presence, where scale, environment and gesture converge.
