Description
Durga
Durga, the Divine Mother, is the fierce embodiment of Shakti. For nine sacred nights, known as Navaratri, she wages war against the forces of darkness, vanquishing demons that symbolize ego, ignorance, and chaos.
Armed with celestial weapons gifted by the gods, and riding various divine vehicles. She is the protector of dharma, the destroyer of evil, and the guardian of cosmic balance.
Yet Durga is not separate from Shiva. Shakti and Shiva are two aspects of the same absolute reality — energy and consciousness, creation and stillness.
